So yeah, proximity alarms. Looks like there’s something approaching, about the size of the Waffles. No lifesigns, lots of guns. All aiming at us. Fun!
To start things off, Carl has a go at hailing. Reply is only static, but the protocols being used are familiar. Turns out they’re Tenzim. So probably bad news. So phasers, go!
They actually manage to blow it up? Surprising. Sent off a massive subspace comms pulse which headed somewhere, so probably best to leave pretty smartish. Time for flight! I mean tactical withdrawal!
Make it back to the Potemkin easily enough, just in time for some red alert! Delightful. Bunch of small ships turning up, having somehow found us. J.J.-Verse friends go and engage, J.J.-Pax says we should stop them from crossing universes. Looks like it’s time for a fight.
After setting up some inspiring battle music, Carl does a quick tactical analysis before directing the ship to engage the flagship. Ral takes the Potemkin in closer to the melee.
Much ado occurs, and an even bigger ship turns up, but not having shields proves a fatal weakness and having a torpedo beamed into the bridge and the computer does a pretty good job of dealing with it quicly.
After that, it’s just cleanup. Finish off the flagship, blow up the smaller ships, try and track their weird subspace teleport-y drive thing. Seems easy enough to do in the future, so that’s handy. Looks like they originated in the J.J.-verse, too, which is good to know.
